Program Overview

ADNJ Youth & Family Services operates a licensed therapeutic residential program designed to support youth ages 12 to 18 who are unable to remain safely in their homes due to emotional, behavioral, or environmental challenges. The program provides short- and long-term residential care in a structured, trauma-informed setting that emphasizes stability, safety, and growth.

While emergency placements may be accepted when clinically appropriate, the program does not function as a temporary shelter. Residents receive 24-hour supervision, individualized therapeutic interventions, and skills development aimed at fostering emotional regulation, accountability, and independence.

Our central goal is to promote stabilization, family reunification, or successful transition to a permanent and supportive placement. Each youth participates in a daily routine that blends therapeutic services, education, and life skills training. A point-based behavioral management system encourages accountability, reinforces positive choices, and provides consistent feedback to support personal growth.
